Almost 80 years ago Mr. Lazar Stojadinovi†, retired Ministry of Post and Telegraph high supervisor, together with his wife Anka (retired school teacher) decided to help the poor people.
For that cause he formed, under his name, the fund "for bread and firewood". Namely, every year on St.Nicholas Day, money was divided to the poor most in need from the fund.
As the time went by, the fund grew and have changed.
But, the environment changed also, the years were passing, wars, good and bad luck...All that history know (or does not know...) and remember (or does not...).
Today, this foundation still lives in the form of the POæTANSKI DOM hotel.

The memory to the Lazar Stojadinovic's name as a founder lasts onwards.
